The Development of DNA Fingerprinting   Gene Control Prokaryotic gene control differs from Eukaryotic gene control in several ways. Information from the DNAi database is included to reinforce all that we have studied   Biotechnology Gel electrophoresis and PCR   Genetics: genetic engineering Knowing that the genetic code is universal tells us that the RNA of any organism can transcribe a human gene. Finding a way to cut the human DNA sequence exactly, specifically, was the first step in genetic engineering. Once cut, the DNA could be removed from the human genome and inserted into the genome of a different organism.
